Rancho Sonora is convenient to many of central Arizona's attractions. Located in the heart of the Sonora Desert, it offers an array of interesting areas. In just minutes you can be on your way to a scenic drive, viewing the beautiful South and North Buttes, Gray Back mountain or for a trip back in time, you may want to head to Cochran, an 1800"s stagecoach stop.
Four wheel drive enthusiasts, you've come to the right place. Minutes from our door you can be in the back country. "Box Canyon" 100 ft plus sheer rock walls, trails just wide enough for your vehicle, continue on to "Martinez Canyon" then over to the "Silver Bell Mine". One of the favorites of the four wheeler is the "Coke Ovens" just north of the Gila River. This is just the beginning of hundreds of miles of back roads and trails. Please respect gates, if you open, close it behind you. A Desert Drive Map is available at check-in.
A Main Street Town, Historic Florence town center is the setting for a leisurely stroll where you will find the recently refurbished, award winning, True Value Hardware Store. For wonderful gifts and memorabilia or a bite to eat, don't miss the Florence General Store. Enjoy authentic Mexican dining at L & B Inn, or, on the main highway try Florence's new addition, Mt. Athos Greek & Italian Restaurant. Just ask at check-in if there is anything you may want to know about our local area.
Please - respect and preserve our beautiful Sonora Desert.
